Social Media is now an integral part of our lives and many broadcasters are keen to harness its widespread appeal by integrating it with their TV channel. To enable this we have launched an innovative new service that allows audiences to interact with the programming by using Twitter to influence the selection of content that is played out.
As content plays on your channel a fully branded onscreen graphic offers viewers a choice of what content should be played next - each option identified by a unique Twitter username and hashtag. Our dedicated servers run specially developed software which monitors Twitter and aggregates the information - counting the number of Tweets for each option.

An onscreen graphic displays the relative number of votes cast and a 20 second countdown fuels a frenzy of last minute Tweets. Thirty seconds before the current content ends the votes are counted and our software automatically uploads the most popular content ready to play next. An experienced engineer monitors the channel constantly but everything is fully automated with the software running itself indefinitely.
The software also allows broadcasters to extract valuable reporting data. After each show has aired the customer can run a report that provides data on the total number of tweets for the show, the number of tweets for each round of voting, and the aggregated number of tweets for each track. This data can be used for trend analysis that will allow the customer to make further improvements to their programming.
